Languedoc Infanterie

 W 1755 roku, 2. batalion regimentu Languedoc wysłany został do Kanady (1. został we Francji). We wrześniu żołnierze 2 kompani brali udział w walkach o Lake George i wraz z regimentem La Reine stali się pierwszymi regularnymi walczącymi na amerykańskiej ziemi.
 In 1755 2nd Battalion of the regiment of Languedoc was sent to Canada (the 1st stayed in France). In September 2 companies  took part in the battle of Lake George and together with the regiment of La Reine became the first regular forces fighting on American soil.

 W maju następnego roku batalion stacjonował w Ticonderoga i pomagał w budowie fortu Carillon (więcej się chłopaki na tej wojnie nabudują niż powalczą)
 In May next year the battalion was stationed in Ticonderoga and helped build Fort Carillon. (Lads would taste more to build than fight)



 

 W czerwcu 1757 roku zgromadzono tam wojska francuskie liczące 8.000 żołnierzy, które wyruszyły 1. sierpnia pod dowództwem markiza de Montcalm kierując się na Fort William Henry. Batalion brał udział w oblężeniu, po którym skierowany został do Saint-Jean, gdzie ponownie uczestniczyli w budowie fortyfikacji.
 In June 1757 French troops numbered 8.000 gathered in Fort Carillon and on the 1st of August marched under the command of Marquis de Montcalms heading for Fort William Henry. The battalion took part in the siege, after which it was sent to Saint-Jean, where he again participated in the construction of fortifications.

 Na zimę część batalionu wróciła do Fort Carillon, reszta dołączyła w połowie czerwca 1758, by 8. lipca wziąć udział w zwycięskiej bitwie o fort. Batalion był najbardziej na lewo wysuniętym oddziałem.
 For the winter part of the battalion returned to Fort Carillon, the rest joined in mid-June 1758. On 8th of July batalion take part in the victorious battle for the fort, fighting on the extreme left.

 Pod koniec maja 1759 wszystkie 5 batalionów piechoty zostało przerzuconych do Quebeku. Zostały umieszczone po prawej stronie rzeki, gdzie przygotowywały umocnienia mające posłużyć za drugą linię obrony w razie oblężenia. 13. września miała miejsce bitwa o Quebek zwana też bitwą na Polach Abrahama. W trakcie starcia batalion wystawiono w samym środku brygady piechoty, która stanowiła centrum sił francuskich.
 At the end of May 1759 all five infantry battalions were moved to Quebec. They have been placed on  right bank of the river, where they prepared fotification for a second line of defense in case of siege. On 13th September started battle for Quebeck, also known as the battle on the Fields of Abraham. During the clash battalion fought in the middle of the infantry brigade, which was the center of the French line.

 Figurines from Crusader Miniatures. Postures are a little bit monotonous but sculpt is fantastiq and painting was pure joy! It is not seen on pictures but uniforms are not pure white. Coats are cream0-grey and gaiters were painted from grey to off-white.
